Gather the following information for each node on the network/cluster:
System name (as programmed in the Network Elements form)
Type of voice mail server (MiVoice Business or other)
Primary Node ID
Clustered status (yes, no)
IP address
DNS name
Time zone
Perform these steps on each node in the network:
Ensure that the System Type is "Enterprise."
If not already done, program voice mail ports and a voice mail hunt group. See Program Embedded Voice Mail for details.
Network
Elements form
If not already programmed, enter
the system name of the node in the System Name field.
Enter the IP address of the default Email server in the Email Server
field.
VM
Network Users form
Enter user data for all remote voice mail servers in the network/cluster.
NOTE: For larger networks with multiple servers, use a spreadsheet program to create a .csv file containing all user data. Then, import the file to the servers.
IMPORTANT: Data in this form is not propagated by SDS to other nodes in the network/cluster. Any changes must be manually entered in the VM Network Users form at other nodes where necessary.
VM
Network Servers form
Enter the information for each voice mail server in the network/cluster.
NOTE: When upgrading from Release 3.3, 4.0 or 4.1 to Release 5.0 or later, several fields are filled in automatically. Enter the missing fields, and correct the system names in the Network Element Name field.
